Terms of Service

1. Who can use StrangerChat

You must be 18 years or older to use StrangerChat. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to accept these terms.

2. The service

StrangerChat connects you with a random stranger for a private, 1-on-1 text conversation. Chats are ephemeral: when a conversation ends it is no longer available to either participant. We may retain conversations for up to 24 hours solely for safety and abuse review, after which they are deleted.

3. Rules of conduct

You agree not to use StrangerChat to:

• harass, threaten, or abuse others;
• share sexual content involving minors, or interact with minors in any way;
• send spam, advertising, or scams;
• share other people’s personal information;
• do anything illegal in your jurisdiction.

4. Moderation, reports, and bans

Users can report and block anyone. Accounts that accumulate reports are suspended automatically and reviewed by a moderator, who may permanently ban the account. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion to keep the service safe.

5. Pro plan and payments

An optional paid plan (“Pro”) unlocks matching filters and priority matching. Current pricing is shown on the Pricing page in Indian Rupees, inclusive of applicable taxes. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay; we never receive or store your card, UPI, or banking details. Pro passes are one-time purchases for a fixed duration — they do not auto-renew. The service is delivered digitally and activated instantly on successful payment; nothing is shipped. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Disclaimer and liability

StrangerChat is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. You chat with strangers at your own discretion; we are not responsible for the conduct or content of other users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be announced in the app.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
