Why themed nights

Random chat is at its best when both people came for the same thing. A shared prompt skips the “hi, wyd” stage entirely: you are debating pineapple on pizza, finishing each other’s poem or swapping songs within a minute of being matched. And because every night runs in the same two-hour window, the people who show up are all there at once.

When are live nights?
Every evening from 8 to 10 PM IST, the busiest time on StrangerChat, with a different theme each night of the week. The schedule shows the start time in your own time zone.
How do I join?
Tap Join while a night is live. You need a free account, then you are matched with someone else who joined the same night, and you both see tonight’s prompt at the top of the chat.
What if nobody else has joined yet?
After a minute without another participant you can be matched with anyone, or play the night with our AI partner, which is always clearly labelled as an AI.
How do reminders work?
Tap “Remind me every week” on any night and we email you about ten minutes before it starts, every week. Turn it off any time from the lobby or with the link in the email.
